Mike is a Master and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and a Master of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography. With 21 years experience as an International professional photographer, he has also lectured and given workshops to international photographers for 15 years and has been an International Professional Photography Awards Judge for 13 years.
He has been awarded 'Australian Geographic Photographer of the year' & has photographed 17 articles and two books for the Australian Geographic Society. He has also won the Korean International Photography award & has won New South Wales Landscape Photographer of the Year twice in recent years.
In September 2006, Mike won the Epson/NZIPP New Zealand Photographer of the Year award.
A New Zealander by birth, Mike lived and worked out of Sydney Australia for the past 20 years during which time he has produced sixteen photographic books.
Mike now lives and works out of Queenstown New Zealand where he is co director or ‘The Queenstown Centre for Creative Photography’ and ‘Photo Safaris’ with his partner Jackie Ranken.
